Mobilization & Social Impact

  • Feed 50 Initiative

A pledge to true community building, supporting 50 brothers and sisters at a time. The MOVERS team is committed to helping participants nourish the mind with transformative information and skills, the body with quality food and healthy movement, and the soul by pouring into one another.

Instead of simply distributing food/essential items and then leaving, MOVERS takes it a step further by truly establishing relationships and offering critical support via referrals, resource mapping, and emergency intensive case management support services for individuals in vulnerable or unsafe situations.

*This social impact mobilization project is carried out under the MOVERS Education & Outreach program.

**This program is carried out by college students and post-secondary-aged youth.

  • LALA's Youth Community Connections

Life After Loss A.N.D.R.E., Inc. and HTC partnered to offer school- and community-based social-emotional learning (SEL) groups from a grief and trauma-responsive and grief coaching lens.

Youth participants are provided with a safe, nurturing, and confidential space to meet and discuss their feelings about personal, peer, neighborhood, and societal issues of concern. Workshops are also provided for essential skills development, trauma release, coping, and mental & emotional wellness care.

*Individual sessions, advocacy, and case management are offered on a situational basis, as needed, and per request.
